Exciting times ahead!!

I’ve been very quiet on the blog front recently so firstly here is an apology for the few of you that actually look forward to the next instalment! I’ve been so busy over the past couple of months with various different things and time has just been flying by. I can’t actually believe it’s already August, where has this year gone!

I’m in a really good place right now, I’ve just had a fab time teaching at a summer school in Brighton and I’m now preparing myself to move back to London on the 1st of September! It’s been one of those things that’s always a plan for the future and it’s finally come around! I’m taking the leap to give auditioning another go full time. It’s scary but it’s exciting and it’s time to give it my all or not bother. I’m not ready to let go now, I’ve been holding on by a thread for the last year and it’s time to uproot and take myself back to the city and get to every audition possible. It’s such a scary thought knowing I’m putting myself back out there to be judged by so many different people but I’m ready to embrace it! There are so many things to worry about like whether or not I’ll be accepted back into the industry after such a long time, not that I was really in it before, I just sort of dipped  my toe in! What reaction I’ll get from casting directors and choreographers etc, what if I’ve not kept up with everyone else with it being such a fast paced industry! So many things to be scared about yet the thought of getting offered a job and being able to perform for a living for the first time overrides any anxiety I might have!

No matter what happens in the next few months I’m just going to enjoy being back in the hustle and bustle of London, being close to many of my friends again, having lots of fun and making the most of everything I will have on my doorstep. It’s a really exciting time and I can’t wait to get there!

At the moment I’m just enjoying spending some time at home, catching up with friends and family and giving myself a bit of a break. I’m desperately trying not to spend too much money whilst I’m home so I can head to London with as much in the bank as possible! I enjoy having time to myself but I equally get bored quite quickly spending day after day at home, so I’m trying to be clever with what I’m doing to get out and about! I met a friend for coffee the other day and managed to bag myself a free one by using O2’s priority moments app, boom! Then doing simple things like meeting for lunch but taking a bag of chips down to the marina instead of eating out, and on a day like today it means I can enjoy the fleeting moments of the British sunshine! I’m lucky with where I live because there are so many beautiful places to go for a walk so that’s another free thing I can do! I’ve even kept myself busy (and in my mum’s good books!) by painting the garden fence!

So basically what I’m saying is life is good right now! I’m happy, I’m excited and I feel like I’m moving forwards! It’s not always easy to follow your heart but I’m going for it. I’m putting myself out there and I’m going to give my all to try and fulfil my dreams! Eek!!
